- TOPIC -----------------------------------------------------------
-
- I'm getting screen interference on my computer from a transformer outside
- my home. I've tried all sorts of surge supressors, all to no avail. Any
- other suggestions?
-
- DISCUSSION -------------------------------------------------------
-
- Is your interference coming directly from power lines or from
- electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the air? If it's from power lines,
- you'll need a "high-end power filter" costing around $200 and up.
-
- Your problem sounds like general electromagnetic interference. The only
- thing you can do is move your monitor as far away as possible from the
- source of interference. You can also try putting some shielding around the
- monitor to protect it from EMI.
